Startups with one to two experienced advisors are twice as likely to scale successfully.

Startups can tap into our network of members to get advice, guidance and input which is provided with no strings attached. Tech Operators provides startups access to a network with unique and diverse experience of the global technology industry. Our members, individually and collectively, also make investments in pre-seed and seed stage startups that have pitched to Tech Operators.

  • Advise

Our network represents years of real-life experiences, earned at major multinationals and successful Irish startups and scaleups.

Our members have held senior roles across a range of functions from GTM to engineering, finance to operations.

  • Connect

Members facilitate introductions to others in their network who can help startups with specific challenges they may be facing.

As active operators our networks are continually evolving and include senior employees of world-class companies that may be able to provide valuable feedback and other forms of support and partnership.

  • Invest

Members invest as individuals in pre-seed and seed-stage startups that have pitched Tech Operators.

Forty per cent of founders who have pitched a Tech Operators investment meeting have received investment from Tech Operators.

Meetings

We host two quarterly meetings: a Meitheal Meeting and a Pitch Meeting.

Meitheal Meeting

”Meitheal (pronounced ‘Meh-Hill) is an Irish word. It loosely translates as ‘working gang’ and refers to the old Irish tradition where people in rural communities gathered on a neighbour’s farm to help save the hay or take in the harvest. It describes a community-based effort to support each other and resonates so deeply with what we want to achieve that we have adopted the term.

Founders leverage the Meitheal to draw on the combined experiences and network of the Operators. They come with specific topics to discuss and leave with fresh ideas, introductions and pathways forward. The Meitheal is not a ‘pitch meeting’. Founders are not seeking funding in a Meitheal. The advice, guidance and input are provided with no strings attached.

Pitch Meeting

We facilitate quarterly pitch meetings for startups seeking angel investment from our members.

We strongly prefer diverse teams and female founders. We have never had an all-male pitch meeting. Founders wishing to pitch for investment are referred by one of our members or apply via our web site.

Tech Operators has been instrumental in the rapid growth of our company, providing invaluable experience, connections, and importantly the confidence to make critical business decisions. The supportive environment, coupled with access to top-tier tech and business experts, has been beyond what I could have imagined as a first-time founder.

Lou Doyle, Founder & CEO @ Needi

Being part of the Meitheal has been a fantastic experience, providing access to senior leaders with a genuine interest in helping early-stage companies. This goes beyond the advisory session, as your buddy continues to support you tackle common startup challenges. I'd highly recommend the Meitheal to any startup founder seeking advice and support that genuinely helps.
